The Everton Board Thread

This is the problem, this is who should be getting the sack.

Mismanaging us to the point we scrape survival last season and then strengthen us by selling our best player by a mile. They’ve overseen the systematic stripping of quality out the team and left us with Townsend, Gray, Gordon, McNeil, Iwobi, Maupay, Mykolenko - they’re not fringe players they’re starting 11 players.

How the board can look at that at the start of the season and go “yep, that’ll do” is inexplicable. They’ve not given the manager any tools to compete, they carry all the blame for this position. Plan was just to cross their fingers and hope.

Do you know what boils my piss, the fact that no matter how bad we are, the ground is always full, they don't deserve that, the season ticket holders don't deserve what they get served up. In times gone by, people would just stop going, they don't know how lucky they are these days.

The players also don't deserve full houses either if they can't take the pressure, all happy to earn a kings ransom but won't put the required effort in every single game.

Sack them all, friggin useless, the lot of them.

Where’s ‘Prenno’ why all this is going on? I thought he was Comms man nowadays? I haven’t heard a thing from him since he took on that job.
His wife spends more time on twitter telling everyone who her grandad was. I wonder if
Dixie would be happy sitting next to bill in the comfy seats and
Not say a word in years.

Prenno is a disgrace, happy to write about Gillette & hicks ruining Liverpool, while not saying a word about your mate for 25yrs.

Mate with you 100%. Been season ticket holder for 12 years my brother the same and my dad over 30 years. Honestly we are fools for keep going and giving these idiots our well earned money. But it’s our club which we love and hate haha. The board just move on and leave us fans to suffer their failure. You know we are biased but as as fan base we deserve a lot more, sell out home and away. Look at Brighton how many empty seats did they have, train strikes, storms, and nuclear war would not stop us selling out home and away. Honestly sick to death of the failures at the top.

Tbf the board are in a very difficult position.

Whatever they choose to do will ultimately see the club relegated imo.

It’s been on the cards for a while.

Sack the board. Moshiri need to sell the club. We need new owners
All true.

The problem is I can't see Moshiri selling at anything other than a small loss. Right now he's on course for monumental losses. Selling merely crystalises them.

The board, on the other hand, the owner could engage an agency to sound out candidates offering the same salary as BK and DBB. We'd have a line of people from The Liver Building to Bramley Moore. Every single one would be more qualified than that useless pair we have in situ.
Was Kenwright there tonight with his lackey Sharp?
Left at 2-0.

He know the chants were coming, the vain old Tit.

"If I'm not there they can't be singing about me"

A position of their own making. They've basically - with Moshiri's money - come to the table with an opportunity to clear up, only to snooker themselves repeatedly. Each time they've tried to escape to safety, but now they've angled themselves in the jaws. I wonder if they are in touch with a Chinese betting syndicate...

Wouldn’t mind being in a position where I earn 900k a year while being [Poor language removed] at my job and never in danger of loosing it

Exactly, it's inevitable under the current setup, and has been for years. Not two years, not seven years, for over 15 years this day has been coming. The slow, steady slide to the bottom. Supporters have been sleepwalking towards today.

No plan, weak leadership, and self-serving board members.

100% he will resign from his from his chair position, due to ill health, the minute we look as good as down

This. Probably can’t afford to sack the manager. None of them will have the decency to walk, let’s be honest, the fella has struggled to tell the truth over the last 30 years.

If Everton go down, that’s the end of this club. The debt with the stadium, the already poor financial situation, that would be the death knell. And the sad thing is it’s been coming for years and, for the majority of them years, the people who have voiced an opinion on the board have been shouted down whilst they clap Blue Bill. Now he doesn’t have a manager who can work miracles on no money and the end is nigh.

There is so much wrong with Everton. The entire club has been run by a bunch of amateurs. Look at the Brighton line-up and compare how much it costs against the Everton line-up. Look at the football Brighton play and compare it to how Everton play. It is not about capital, but about competence.

Brighton has a clear concept, and brings in players and coaches who fit this. Coaches who represent what Brighton will identify with, and players who suit this way of playing football. This is intellectually and economically far more rational.

The hiring of Lampard is just one small parenthesis in a long line of mistakes that Everton have made over the years. They obviously should have gotten rid of him before the WC, but I think the owners have understood that with every decision they make, the more wrong it gets. If this club does not get any competent new decision-makers, then it is on its way down to the championship. It's just a matter of when.

It's not as though we haven't spent, either... It's been spent woefully, on mediocre players, with zero passion, zero fight, and whose heads drop far too easily.

It's depressing. If they fought tooth and nail, people wouldn't mind so much, but they just seem to dawdle about.

Look at DCL when Gray scored at city. He ran, great, but didn't get the pass, so just stood there, offside, offering nothing, doing nothing. It's endemic throughout.

The lack of impactful subs, the bench is atrocious, the inability to adapt during a game.

It's all just meh.
