Thought it was too good to be true but sat tight hoping it would all work out. We’ve made it far too complicated for anyone looking to take us over and it’s quite ridiculous, can see this ending really bad for us.

That may be true but this is still a disaster

If credible investors will not buy the club then we have no good medium to long term prospects.

The club need to be fully transparent with us and say what happens next

To put it simply, the complex and less than transparent debt we have is what is going to make any purchase difficult as there are too many parties.

Must of been a some recent info that’s come to light. You don’t pay off loans/fund a stadium and arrange a friendly with your other club then decided nah.

I would agree - is there any chance this is brinksmanship? Being willing to walk away unless Moshiri gives a little more?

It appears they don’t want to own the club.
Maybe they will temporarily defer repayment when it comes due?
But it’s clear they have no wish to own the club under current conditions.

By all accounts due to the debt we owe to 777. They may come back to the table when that is resolved?

If the loan falls due and things still aren't sorted then you would expect they would extend the payment date. They aren't going to want to take control of the club while that is still ongoing.

We're fine.

We have our PL status and a state of the art stadium. Friedkin was never big enough for this club...


...IMO he's used us in relation to getting something going at Roma with their proposed stadium from Rome.

We often get used by chancers and this is just another one of those episodes.

Fair enough. It's not blind optimism though, it's just rinse and repeat from my point of view.
