I hope we go on a mad spending spree (within the rules) and just do it correctly this time. We've been an irrelevance for far too long and we no longer have to worry about Kenwright's meddling.

How much do you want us to spend in Jan and then in the summer window?

There will need to be some incomings. There won't be a huge transformation in January, but we need to get through the season and for me, we don't have the squad to do it at the moment.

Disagree a bit about the squad. I think its good enough to reach mid table.

As I posted earlier, Id be going for players on precontract agreements (to join in the summer) and u21 players to either come in and have a settling in period...or remain at their clubs until the summer.

For me, its a window to begin the summer rebuild early with 4 signings.

We know TFG moved Mourinho on & brought in a new DOF and the idea pushed was to aim for youth -- something Thelwell seems keen on doing. Hopefully thats the plan with us as well.

Villa started to look like a professional outfit the minute the new owners came in. three year building project to get where they are now.

They have mainly done well in signing Championship players and players with something to prove. Our strategy when we had money under Moshiri was to give everyone one last payday.

I agree with this, no point in bringing in any new players in January, I would play it by ear if we seem comfortable in the league then give Dyche till the end of the season and see out his contract and then start a brand-new era for this club

I’m okay with pretending that Villa and Newcastle bought their way into the top 4, as long as we all acknowledge that they did it within 12 months with very similar purchasing power / restrictions that Everton will experience following TFG’s takeover.

Forest bought enough players for 3 clubs and barely got any punishment. I would imagine their squad would survive and be profitable if assets sold. We need a forest like reset.

Wrong. That is Dan Freidkins PERSONAL worth.

TFG in 2023 had a revenue income of $13.3bn according to bloomeberg. I can't link the article as ifs behind a pay wall.

We're being bought by the Friedkin Group which has Gross Turnover of around $11bn every single year. Not sure what sort of profit they are making as a group, but it will be substantial.
