I tell you what I'd do, I'd get them to pack that right in.
You'd be scarred for life, surely?
Mental isn't it? They were told of one lady who regularly did this, and when she was told that was pretty darn odd said it was quite normal in her community, and that her mother in law had done it to her husband.
How the heck that even comes up in conversation I'll never know.

with me studying a Health Based subject at Uni, (Physio) we have a look at the different theories of "human development", one of them being Freud. This weirdness fits nicely in with Freud's third stage of development in kids aged 3-6.Ok, so was chatting to the other half today. She's a nurse and has friends in public health (health visitors mainly).
So these ladies were on a training course and did some scenario type stuff (what would you do in xyz etc.). The scenario that came up was what would you do if the mother you're visiting regularly masturbated her child to help it sleep.
Apparently in some cultures it's quite common. Made me look up from my toast I can tell you![]()
In the Phallic stage of Freud's psychosexual development, a boy’s decisive experience is the Oedipus complex describing his son–father competition for sexual possession of mother. This psychological complex indirectly derives from the Greek mythologic character Oedipus, who unwittingly killed his father and sexually possessed his mother.
Despite mother being the parent who primarily gratifies the child’s desires, the child begins forming a discrete sexual identity — “boy”, “girl” — that alters the dynamics of the parent and child relationship; the parents become the focus of infantile libidinal energy. The boy focuses his libido (sexual desire) upon mother, and focuses jealousy and emotional rivalry against father — because it is he who sleeps with mother. To facilitate uniting him with mother, the boy’s idwants to kill father (as did Oedipus), but the ego, pragmatically based upon the reality principle, knows that father is the stronger of the two males competing to psychosexually possess the one female.
