The story started off so nice then went brutal fairly quickly.

Don’t be taking up writing children’s books @Goat
People dont actually live happy ever after in real life.

But that could be a good money spinner, brutally honest childrens books.

"1 day little Timmy went the park, he was having so much fun that he failed to notice the ALLEGED Icelandic footballer hiding in the bushes....................."

Well do I know it.

And now you're just giving my sense of humor way too much credit for deadline day ethanol warmup.

Saying I’ve missed a self assessment tax return. I’m not self employed so don’t know why I need to do one. Standard HMRC not open on a Friday afternoon so will need to call them on Monday. Hopefully it’s a mistake.

Self employed or not. If you receive income or capital gains that do not have tax automatically deducted via your employer's payroll/PAYE system, you will be asked to report this under a self-assessment………

Good luck with that bud. Have had plenty calls to them over the years. You’ll not find one person with the authority to override it and will drag on for ages.

If you get no joy, find a decent accountancy firm. They will do it for about £200 per year, and if HMRC are in the wrong they will get through to them…..
