West Ham must be kicking themselves. He was in talks with them in the summer.
So are we...if we are serious about replacing dyche, I am sure TFG would have had him in a list of 2 or 3...he is one that you know if will eventually be successful at united unfortunately

Oh David Moyes.... Just what we need.

Let's just forget he knew he was leaving 6 months beforehand, he tried to buy Fellaini and Baines on the cheap....

He took us to one cup final, did poor at Utd, Sociedad and West Ham sacked him even when he won them a European trophy.....

Hew the best manager we've had in modern times.... He is no longer modern.

Personally speaking I'd go for a younger manager, some experience that can relate to the younger type players. Damian Duff would be intriguing, a gamble, but he would be some laugh. He won the league in Ireland with a real low budget compared to other teams. He comes across like a young Mourinho, zero filter. Managers like Ange Postegoglu unheard of really until Celtic took him, he's totally transformed playing style and now Spurs are probably one of the most exciting teams to watch. These managers are out there it's just picking the right one. Forget about experience or big name ex players like Rooney, Lampard. Carlo Ancellotti and the likes will never stick around and don't fancy long term projects.

Just listened to a podcast and they mentioned that it’s realistic to expect the sale will complete mid-Dec. If this prediction is true Everton are likely to appoint a new manager over Christmas…

How does this change the perspective of this discussion?
Thing is we dont kno what TFG is thinking with dyche and thelwell. Would not shock me if both go or they stay,

Just have a feeling he has started to lose the dressing room, and the fans if we lose the next 2 games.
Think is always one game away from loosing the fans because the football is crap. I wouldnt argue both ways if he stays or leaves because can make a case for both. As others have said if he does go would prefer it for the manager they want long term not a short term option

How has he dragged us down...we have been relegation fodder for many seasons before he arrived. I'm affraid it is the owner that has dragged us down pure and simple. Don't know how you can blame Dyche with all that has clearly been wrong with the ownership and chaotic structure of the club. Mismanagement over decades has dragged us down. But blame the manager if you want, there will be another one wheeled in soon that can take the same flack...

We were battling relegation for one season previous to him being here.

Now we're on our 3rd season with him as manager battling relegation. Near two years hes been here and we've gone backwards under him

Everton and DCL absolutely tanked for goals scored once Digne and Siggurdson left. Digne is definitely a much better fullback than any we currently have.
Digne is a great example of what I mean though.

Can you honestly imagine him playing in a dyche side? Would people be raving over him like they are now or casting him out like when he was playing under FSW!

The manager and the system they play makes players look so much better or worse.

Benitez is one of the worst things that ever happened to this club.

Forced out all our creativity for his garbage style of football.

One of those seasons was a rescue job, the next he had to cope with a points deduction.

Not to mention our best striker (Richarlison) and winger (Gordon) were sold.

I'm not supporting him anymore, but that is a bit much - he's kept us in the mix.

I can't believe that the new owners will not change things, I don't see the point in purchasing something if you don't have full control of it. IF the "correct" person is not available at Xmas, they may delay it until the summer.

They won’t be in before Christmas so no chance of a manager by then, I also can’t see them paying Dyche off when he only has until the end of the season anyway, they won’t come in and start throwing money away from the off.

I don’t see anyone in until next season, it gives the club the time to put together a decent shortlist for the job and not the car crash of choices we’ve had the last few years.
