Had £200mill spent on the squad, and another £200mill the season before.

8th wasn't what we wanted
Didn’t really matter what we spent - that genuine market value was probably about half of that….we were just dysfunctional with different targets identified by different vested interests not gelling e.g. the year we bought GS we bought him for £46m, but our opening bid was £25m. In that same year the RS bought Salah for £36m. We bought Gs for £21m more than our opening bid and £9 more than what Salah went for.

Just painting the picture of what it was at the time. We brought in the man we wanted after the 2nd time of asking (Watford sacked him and threated to sue us for tapping up). Funded £200mill after the previous hefty funding to his predecessor. We were one of the highest net spenders in the league and what we got was midtable and lack of competitiveness with the big teams.

Fans wanted more. He also bottled it when Mosh and Brands came to the training ground for crisis talks.

But he's a good coach. But people wanted him gone because of the above.

Forest have spent over £200 million on players, let's not pretend they've done amazing things on a shoestring budget.
They spent a lot when they first came up, most teams do as they have championship squads, especially if you’ve been out the prem like 20yrs. Last 2 summer they’ve spent like 200 and brought in 150. Let’s not try and make out Forest have spent like Chelsea and Utd

Hello, this is Imanol Alguacil’s mam, can you take my lads name off your poll, cos no-one has voted for him and its making him cry at night. Kasper Hjulmands ma says can you take his name off it too as apparently he has taken to sitting in the dark a lot and she’s worried for him!

Making stuff up? Lets go back over dyches points total over his entire PL career and see that in a decade of managing in the league.

He got over 40 points twice. In 323 PL games hes won 92. Last season was 14% of his total wins in his entire PL managerial career. Most of those wins came in the end of the season when they were a necessity. Without the points deduction they wouldnt be a necessity and i personally dont think they'd get those wins. As with dyches past history.

Yes, you're making stuff up. Literally. Facts are facts.

I repeat. Get in the bin.

Dyche has spent a 100mil

Over 3/4 transfer windows, on 5 players, and it's closer to 90 million. All whilst making a profit from a team that was in the relegation zone when he took over,

Last of the big spenders eh?

Anyway, back to Forest. I don't believe there's a great deal of difference in the squads tbh. When I said they have better players, I didn't mean every single player of theirs is better, but they defo have a few who walk into our team because they have attributes we sorely lack. They also don't having glaring holes in their squad, and crucially, they have a no9 who actually takes the chances he should take.

Nuno is a very good coach too.

Can whinge and moan about Dyche and his tactics but part of his job is to manage under huge restrictions.

Only team in the league to have made profit from player sales 4 years on the bounce and be bottom of the net spend league.

Not a post to defend Dyche, but more of a perspective in compared to Forest who have spent and have settled.
Correct 💯

Also the question is whether Nuno would have operated well under Dyche circumstances

think it would be easier naming our players that would get in their side. Branthwaite, Pickford, Ndiaye about it.

Some conversation about Silva, I really liked Silva from the beginning. Although I got over initial reservations. I think he got us playing football we had a great spell if people can remember including beating Man U 4-0 at home. The reason it changed for Silva was his assistant left and he brought in Boa Constictor. And that was that.

I bet some of these managers like Silva, Lampard, even Benitez, wished they had the time afforded to Dyche.

I think that our spending under Dyche/Thelwell has generally been good. We are gathering a nice group of young talented players that are unfortunately being frustrated by the most conservative manager imaginable.
