I realise the job for the boys and I would be reluctant to have Moyes all in as part of the package but Carsley has done very well and is respected. I wouldn't take Southgate as his defensive mindset drives me insane when watching his England teams, we should have 2 Championships(England) under our belt but he blew it twice!

We do, I agree need to move on from old boys mentality but, this one for me isnt done out of sentiment.

Otherwise, we ending going all in on a Marquee management appointment(look at Roma) and dont progress at all as we have to start again, AGAIN!
What has carsley done very well at??

Agree with this 100%. I think Carsley is an interesting coach, this article on his u21's run is very good https://learning.coachesvoice.com/cv/lee-carsley-tactics-and-style-of-play/

Have been in talks with Terzic this week.

As with Potter.

If they are looking at Terzic as a serious candidate then that is frightening.

Got away with things as he's mates with the CEO
Fell out with senior players
Didnt develop youth
Quite a negative style and boring person

Should be Potter or McKenna for the British side and possibly Allegri or similar from overseas.

Well taking the Under21s and winning the Euro Championships is quite an achievement, yes his league record early doesnt hold up to as much success as his England coaching/management but he has served his time at many clubs from Coventry, Sheffield Utd, Birmingham, Manchester City academy and Brentford and was well thought of, if not succesful all through that period, he has obviously some attributes that are well thought of to be given a chance with the Full England squad. It may not tick all the boxes, but it certainly ticks a few, young, progressive, great network around him, works with top players at England level and has got them playing well, So far.

It would be a punt, but so will anyone who comes in!

I don’t think we should be taking a punt. Which is what Carsley would be and to be fair he’s played Ireland, Greece and Finland twice and he’s lost one, it’s hardly a tough batch of games

Its a fair point mate, agree, but I also think whoever we eventually do appoint may well be considered a punt as such, we've been a terribly run club for so long, there's no quick fix.

What I do know, is every single one of us want this club back where it belongs, whoever is given that responsibility in the first instance has a huge task ahead but one we can all get behind. As long as its not Dyche!

Terrifying to see Moyes still top of the list. Shows you how bad things are and how desperate we are for some sort of enjoyment and satisfaction watching Everton again. I look back at the Moyes era with mostly fond memories especially when you compare it to what has happened since. We weren't scared of playing anyone back then but most were terrified of playing us. The past is where it belongs though. The path forward needs to be exactly that. Forward, not backwards. Backwards very rarely works.

Will be very interesting to see what TFG do when they have completed and settled in. I still think they will already know exactly which Manager they want to take their project forwards.

Yeah think would be similar to what they had for the list at roma would try for the likes potter terzic ect. Moyes will be a short term option if they wanted dyche out and others wouldnt come and desperate for a change. Crqzy we have this and a dof both in the same situation out of contract after this season. Did see dyche also has to be paid and extra year if we do sack him so could also cause problems
