He's got pedigree, a winning mentality, I can't see an reason to appoint Baines, Coleman or Ferguson ahead of him except nepotism. He steadies the ship without a doubt.
Coleman I could have understood if you'd said him, but Ashley Simon Young?!?! No idea if the lad even has his coaching badges, but it's just such a random shout to settle on our current first choice starting right back who has never managed a game in his life. (knew I should have bought the extra strength aspirin)

Edin Terzic gets my first phone call, then either Kasper Hjulmand or Kjetil Knutsen. Im also not oppose to Lee Carsley having been skeptical for a while. U england recruitment, and what he's shown as interim I think there's an interesting manager that could emerge. Of all the more notable names I think they are just the same marquee led hirings similar to the mistakes under Moshiri and come with a fair bit of risk. I'd rather be impressed how managers have improved squads with progressive tactics. Gaffers with development track record and could build something under the job.

from Friedkin's rumors and track record though at ASR I don't see that as likely. I expect the Southgate Potter's to get the first nod.
Steve Cooper won a World Cup with an England side did he not? Looking at Steve Cooper coming out of the England fold and how he has gone is what puts me off Carsley who isn`t exactly in the "young up and coming manager" category.

I`d like him to go and get experience rather than take an absolute flyer on someone who may bomb and that would be another manager we have to sack.

I think anyone who does not talk about 'mentality.' Dyche did well to keep us up but he is not the brightest and avoiding relegation is his limit.

You see sixty grand sixty grand Seamus Coleman as a better option than a title winner who played with the very best players, under managers revered as the best of their era?

Gerrard and lampard asking mourinho
To hold their beer on reading this I reckon .

I don’t want young or coleman but I’m trying to point out playing experience and ability aren’t necessarily transferable to management

What does Coleman's price have to do with anything? But yes, if it were a choice of the two I'd much rather have Seamus "Mr Everton" Coleman leading this team in our final few months at GP than some random journey man who clearly wants to keep playing. Might as well appoint Lampard or Bruce or Gerrard or Solskjaer - they all won countless things under the best managers and played with the best players if that's your logic.

The guy wants Ashley Young of all possible available people to take over as manager. Where on earth do people get these ideas from?!

Yeah sound, a lad who's steered us through a couple of decades of mediocrity ahead of player who actually achieved something in his career.
