If Moyes goes to Leicester, It would also be a solid appointment for them which impacts us.

It would make Potter clear favourite imo.

I'd be more a bit more comfortable with that if it was an end of season change rather than in the middle of a survival scrap. Maybe TFG would go leftfield though and there is a surprise.

Hoping whomever it turns out to be is needing to adjust their Christmas plans, this is urgent.

Imho we should have approached Terzic in the summer, £5 million a year would turn anyone’s head, plus he’s still young enough that if it hadn’t worked out, his reputation wouldn’t be that damaged. It would be a risk granted, but just for once could we not think outside of the box?

That is absolutely suicidal.

My mind boggles at anyone suggesting Terzic. Did you just see Dortmund and young manager and think good?

Terzic would have been a superb choice (still woud be!) but we were never going to make a change in the summer. Mosh is trying to sell a club no stranger to financial issues, was never going to do another round of hire-n-fire with all the payoffs etc. Plus there was no one at the club to make such a call: we are rudderless and devoid of leadership until the new guys come in, clinging on to Dyche for dear life because 17th good enough year on year.

Another Terzic shout :o

Tell me which of:

Fell out with the senior players
Didnt develop youth
Cowardly style of football
Detested by the fans
Employed as mates with the CEO

Did you think were high calibre attributes?

Couple of things while I commute...I can't see Dyche getting sacked.

Whilst he's like won 1 game in 8, he's only lost 1. That's still not panic stations. We're 12th in the form table. So yes it's a poor watch but I'm pretty sure people behind the scenes aren't in crisis.

We don't have any owners to make that call either. You can say "Leicester just sacked theirs" but they're not a rudderless ship and no doubt have a candidate lined up. We all know we won't have even thought about it based on previous.

When Friedkin gets the keys it may look different. But so far it's wishful thinking than nailed on.

How is Baines doing at underage?
Is there a case for him and Coleman coming in till TFG take over.
It's gonna be a crappy run in December, may as well just bin Dyche off now and give it to the likes of these two for a few weeks.

Why Baines & Coleman? Just cos theyre former players?

For me, its simple...

Former player = Carsley
Upcoming = McKenna
English & experienced = Potter
Foreign = Allegri

That would be my shortlist with perhaps one or two Italians dropped in as well

I think this is a fair point. If we're talking about making the change that we really want to make, having identified the manager that we want to lead us for the next few years and believe can achieve things with us, then that's one thing. Just making a short term change for the sake of it is a bit different, those changes usually rely on just tightening things up and getting players to buy in to the plan etc but as bad as we are they aren't really issues that we need to address. We've only conceded 2 in the last 6 games, a manager coming in and going back to basics isn't going to make any difference, if we change it has to be a proper step forward.

Despite the £200m+ spent at West Ham under Moyes they finished 4 points above us last season with a far worse back line as @GrandOldTeam pointed out. He isn't the answer and people need to move on.
They also got to the quarter finals of The Europa League, after winning under Moyse the previous year. It's always said how teams' league form - outside the regulars - struggle when playing in Europe. Even if he's not the answer, Moyse is a definite step up from Dyche.

The game has moved on and bypassed both of them, He is a step up from Dyche (not difficult) but its not by much, for someone who has managed over 1000 games his record not all that when you go through it. If it wasn't for that Europa Conference League he wouldn't even be getting a mention imo.

Steve Cooper won a World Cup with an England side did he not? Looking at Steve Cooper coming out of the England fold and how he has gone is what puts me off Carsley who isn`t exactly in the "young up and coming manager" category.

I`d like him to go and get experience rather than take an absolute flyer on someone who may bomb and that would be another manager we have to sack.
Same argument about experience that was made about Arteta. I think Cooper is a good manager but just not up to it at the Premiership level. Did an amazing job getting Forest promoted in the first place.
