It’s all been argued before, but what has Potter actually done? He’s inferior to Roberto Martinez that feller. His record is actually similar to Dyche. He’s not a good manager at all.
I think our chances of relegation RISE if Potter takes over from Dyche in January. What a risk to take at this point of a treacherous season. Imagine Tarkowski and Doucoure listening to this fella's ideas...

Potter in the summer would be less risky - albeit an unconvincing appointment. It seems to me that his candidacy is based purely on what he has done at Brighton, yet Brighton have had a series of managers since who have all succeeded while Potter failed at Chelsea. Small enough sample size, but it does lead one to the conclusion that it's the Brighton set-up behind the scenes that is the secret to their success - not any individual manager.

60%+ win rate, his teams score goals, think he is an excellent choice myself.
He sounds like a good choice, we need to boot this attitude out of the club that it's acceptable to settle for second best. What we don't need is another manager with Moyes's attitude. The only manager we've had in recent times with this approach was Ancelotti and I think this was the reason he walked.

He banned players from training, because they didn't take the training serious after a loss.

Exactly, he is a taskmaster who isn't going to put up with slackers or attitude in the squad.

That's convenient, because we're going to need a whole new squad anyway.

I like the sound of this fella already.

This is exactly what this club needs. I reckon we'd be lucky to have half the current squad in training with this guy in charge!

What a breath of fresh air he would be he would definitely change the whole culture and mentality within this football club

I don’t think you can really put too much stock in win percentages (or goals scored actually) when people are coming from certain clubs or leagues. Like you could get Neil Lennon and say he’s got a 70% win rate at Celtic and has won loads of trophies, but it means nothing if he comes here. A win rate of less than 50% at a club like Porto would be unthinkable, so the stats don’t really tell us anything in that sense.

We need a complete purge of Kenwrightism. It has seeped into the very core of the club and is bleeding through the walls at Goodison. That virus has to die with Goodison - I was going to call her "The Old Lady", but checked myself as I realised I was parroting a Kenwright coinage.

I think this is generally correct, what you are looking for is someone who has considerably over performed in their previous clubs based on how those clubs have usually performed.

I'd take him. Some Spanish or Portuguese blood, has experience in a known and good league in Europe.

Would you take our manager Ernesto Valverde as manager, he is running out of contract and it might be his last season. No decision taken yet here.

I agree, my wish is with the new owners is they sweep away everything that has brought this historic club to it's knees and start bringing it back to what it once was, with a new stadium on the horizon this should be a start of a new era which we can be proud to be an Evertonian
