I’m no lawyer but I’d it assault if there is a struggle between two people on equal terms? It’s not like he left a bar an came back with a knife or gun. Rudolph instigated, Garrett responded, Rudolph provoked/responded again (nut punch or not), then Garrett responded again (over the top). Seems like it’s not assault or attempted murder like some say.

It looks bad for the sport, come down hard once and the players might think a year's salary is a bit much before kicking off. Like I say, got no issue with some needle maybe even a punch but you don't take off someone's protection and try and bludgeon them with it. This kid needs to go play Ice Hockey instead.

They both grabbed each others helmet and wrestled, it's absolutely nothing and the hyperbolic overreaction will just drive players into their shells. Give him a whatever game ban for violent conduct and stop acting like he assassinated Kennedy

He wasn't playing that well when all this started. Certainly not on the levels he had been at the year or so before.
I'm sure he's still ok like, but he's been out a long time to just walk into a team and pick it up immediately.

Oh, he'd been playing absolutely shockingly.

But, it's not like teams have picked up far better QBs and given them a shot over him. It's ridiculous.

He should have been on a team - or bouncing from a few teams – regardless. He's better than ya Luke Faulk's and Jeff Driskel's.

Say you get in a fight with your neighbor and you had a tool belt on. It's an even struggle just pushing and shoving, then the neighbor rips the hammer out your belt and attempts to hit you in the head with it and grazes you. It's the exact samething.

It's not provocation. You have no evidence of provocation.
