I bought my house in 1986 and one of the big selling points was that it had a phone line. It could take over two years to get a phone line installed.This was back when you actually leased the phones from the phone company. This is from the late '70s to early '80s. Worth a fortune to purchase them today as a collectable - - To think landlines in the UK will be virtually extinct in 18mths -2 years -
