For any Evertonian under 35, his spell in charge was the best they'll have had supporting this club. The fact you're moaning about us going out of Europe to the likes of Fiorentina says it all - those days seem like a dream compared to now.
Thankfully for me i can remember the Joe Royle era. He was a decent manager for us, he'll a decent enough job and he'll bring us a little bit of stability.

The first sentence in your post sums up everything that's gone wrong at Everton post 1987 sadly.

Well, I think that was their plan until things started to turn toxic, going by reports. But people hated that idea too. So what do people want? Seems like mostly just to complain, as far as I can tell.

They've been here 3 weeks.
I mean I literally just said I had a concern as to how well the appointment would be received and you’ve replied twice as if I accused him of being a cannibal or something. If anyone just wants to complain, it would appear to be you.

Yeah I get it, I advocated keeping dyche for as long as I could and I was a big supporter of Moyes the first time round. I just think this is a bit of a problem for us now, even if it’s actually a sensible appointment if that makes any sense.

I'm feeling exactly the same as you. If he comes in and starts well there won't be any problem with the fans. A continuation of what happened under Dyche and it could turn nasty.

At that point, I would however hope that people just start to get behind the team regardless. Starting that new stadium in the league below just isn't an option.

What was the deal with west ham conceding 74 goals last season. Only sheff utd & burnley let in more.
Very unlike moyes.
The number of games, and playing with a one-legged central defender (Kurt) caught up with them. I’d imagine many also downed tools to a degree when they found out their gaffer was leaving.

There's lots of valid comments about Moyes and don't want him back personally.

But none of it matters.

We need to stay up. If he does get it, he can more out of these than Dyche.
On the plus side as long as he does the job required this season we can bin him off on our terms like with Rooney.

Its not much of a plus like...

They conceded 10 in the last 2 games

Badly missed Rice.

Be interested who he targets in the new few weeks. James Ward Prowse played every week for him at West Ham. I advocated him as an option in the summer and he's gone to Forest but been warming the bench for weeks. Guess with the season they're having he might want to stay part of things there but he's one I think the feelers will go out to.

If he'd stayed at West Ham I could've actually seen DCL ending up there so it's vital he tries to motivate him to score a few goals at least.
