I can’t wait for this idea to be consigned to the bin.

What makes you so sure of this? This kind of thinking is why Mark Hughes, Steve Bruce and Bryan Robson among others had so many goes at PL management. You do NOT need PL experience to be a good PL manager.

Any wannabe PL manager worth their salt will have studied the league for years and will know what to expect. The last regime killed us with multiple player signings and manager appointments with the desired PL experience and look where it got us. Moyes is a gutless appointment.
Steve Bruce and Mark Hughes were decent managers. Not every gaffer can be Kendall or Ferguson, or even a Moyes or Redknapp.

Seeing as Starmzy is on holiday so often, can we get him in just to tickle yodavek's tummy? Imagine a manager so by the book he wrote the damn thing.

Sorry but they’re all CL level coaches why would they come here? Ancelotti got sold a lie, these guys won’t. Also not many in-work managers want to snake off mid season. Think you’re reaching a bit there mate. Allegri ffs 😂
We have new ownership who have restructured the debt to buy us a bit of transfer wiggle room and a new stadium move incoming. Shouldn’t the accompanying managerial appointment have a similar level of ambition?

Even were that calibre of coach to knock us back then why not go for one of the ones doing well in the championship? The lad from Sheff Wed or Carrick would be better shouts than Moyes.

What if we wanted one of those two and they said nah not leaving my job in January? None of us know what’s going on behind the scenes. Can’t pick and choose what to criticise.

New owners, new stadium, it’s all sounding good but we also have PSR problems and a wank squad.

“Hey come get us out of 17th with Beto up top. You don’t need to wait for a Juventus gig again Max”

No - again it pains me but Dave is right, and importantly so is Dyche, he said days ago succession planning is crucial. And this is who they choose? They have abEuropean reach and a global footprint and they choose… David Moyes?
The poverty of ambition appears in marked contrast to their financial wealth.

The appointment of Moyes is an astoundingly conservative, backward-looking move. I hope they frame a picture of Kenwright for the trestle table when they hold the press conference so the "new" manager can pay tribute to the guiding spirit of Everton as he continues to dictate events from beyond the grave.
