All very well to say “what if we tried and failed?” but did we try?!

If we made ambitious moves and got knocked back and THEN reached for the safety net then fine. Crap, but fine, it’s an understandable sequence of events.

It seems, though - and not for the first time I could be wrong - that we’ve FINALLY binned off the latest purveyor of turgid football to darken our stadium, only to go running straight for Uncle Davey.

As stated, might all work out boss and be the first step in a master plan that takes us to the stratosphere but right now I feel proper badly let down.
