genuinely I think he takes over until the end of the season, then becomes our DoF.

He knows how to run the sport side of the club, and he even said in the overlap that he didn’t understand why more older managers didn’t go into the DoF role.

I think most expected this appointment, as it made more sense to other names that were bandied about

Is he a better than Dyche - Yes
Will he improve our overall play - Yes
Will he secure our prem status - Most probably
Is he the man to take us forward - No

Above is simply how I am looking at things

Not the greatest appointment, but an appointment that makes the most sense at this moment in time

The underhand manner in which he behaved in joining Utd and comments afterwards were disgraceful.

The tribute to him was one of the most embarrassing things I've seen as an Evertonian. It had the air of a club knowing it's place and staying in lane. He should not have been allowed to see out the remaining games.

I recall that the staff at Utd used to sneeringly refer to him as "Everton". I don't blame him for taking the opportunity, but it was handled very badly.

And yet here we are, on our arse again. More than a decade has passed so feelings, for me at least, are not as strong as they were.

Provided he keeps us up and knows his own place, then personally I'd be prepared to call it quits. If that meant one more season so be it.

It's a marriage of convenience but we can divorce in a little while.

Sensible way to look at it.

I think any manager we hire is 'Yes' to the first 3 questions, as we'll recruit this summer and bring in pace. We can't get any worse.

It's the last question for me, given how big this summer is.

Do you think TFG would sack him in the summer?
