Are you going to give the new manager your full support for 12 months as you stated you always do ?

Sensible way to look at it.

I think any manager we hire is 'Yes' to the first 3 questions, as we'll recruit this summer and bring in pace. We can't get any worse.

It's the last question for me, given how big this summer is.

Do you think TFG would sack him in the summer?
Move him upstairs like they're planning with Ranieri I'd guess. Not necessarily as a DoF like Thelwell but maybe as the board member responsible for football operations?

This appointment is all about the situation we are in rather than where we think we should be. Seems a sensible strategy to me.

Anyone against the appointment got any realistic alternatives?

The underhand manner in which he behaved in joining Utd and comments afterwards were disgraceful.

The tribute to him was one of the most embarrassing things I've seen as an Evertonian. It had the air of a club knowing it's place and staying in lane. He should not have been allowed to see out the remaining games.

I recall that the staff at Utd used to sneeringly refer to him as "Everton". I don't blame him for taking the opportunity, but it was handled very badly.

And yet here we are, on our arse again. More than a decade has passed so feelings, for me at least, are not as strong as they were.

Provided he keeps us up and knows his own place, then personally I'd be prepared to call it quits. If that meant one more season so be it.

It's a marriage of convenience but we can divorce in a little while.

I never have a problem with anyone leaving for a better opportunity provided they had contributed and gave the club significant service, he gave us 12 years of service, from relegation fodder, to CL, European Football and Cup Finals. He made the club 100s of millions in placement money money, Euro qualification and through his recruitment. Given literally meagre resources, comparatively to our rivals at the time.

He did an incredible job over 12 years.

The only thing that matters right now is someone with the ability to all that i mention above because we are probably in the same position we were when he found us - if not worse, its exactly what the club needs and to be frank its exactly what the ownership need if its going to invest in progressing the club.

Be made up he leads us in the new ground.

…..a plus for me (with my controversial view of our dreadful transfer dealings) would be him coming in at this time and identifying a few targets. He’s a football man and he knows a player which is something we’ve been dreadfully lacking.
He won’t be signing anybody.

Cast your mind back to AFTER Moyes left: the weeks / month before he was finally officially hired and meeting his new United team at their training ground Carrington.

This feller stayed on at Finch Farm and retained his office for that whole month; and he also insisted on being part of the process to decide who succeeded him - putting Stubbs, Weir and Neville forwarded.

He took the absolute piss - even BEFORE his traitorous remarks demanding Everton hand him Baines and Fellaini.

What sort of fan forgets that and hands him a second chance?

Anyone who supports this slap in the face appointment from these clueless owners need to ask themselves where their resolve has disappeared to. WTaF?!?!

anyone who wanted to keep dyche needs a volley in the plums
