One player half pulling out of going for the ball but leaving his studs in anyway.

What is is we always used to get told about 50/50s and who was more likely to get injured?

Robertson will try and take James out at the first opportunity. And then continually for the rest of the game without picking up a yellow.

If I were Carlo, I would set us up with specific instructions to kick Robertson, Henderson, Thiago and Salah to pieces. I'd tell the starting eleven to just take turns on them for the entire game.

When the inevitable happens in the post-match interview and the media go nuts at us, I would simply say:

"This reaction is exactly what we got from you lot last time, when we did nothing wrong. So I told the players that they are going to get crucified by you lot regardless of what the truth may be, so they may as well go and do something worth being crucified for. I hope you can now all tell the difference."

In all seriousness though, they (the RS) are all going to be gunning for trouble from the first minute and we're going to see a few of our lads chopped down. I just hope that either the ref clamps down on it straight away or, failing that, we just fight fire with fire.

The ref will already be under pressure to punish us for the slightest infraction. Fighting fire with fire will result in red cards for us. Personally I want a full team available for the Southampton game.
