You are in a dream world if you think there’ll be any control over spending. The whole reason they want to break away is because they want to break out of FFP and away from relegation. Florentino Perez has said in countless interviews that the ESL will do FFP properly.

The none petro dollar clubs hate the state owned model, under FFP they pay their way out like the 1st and 2nd time with the corrupt Infantino and then the third time they abuse the process of being investigated by using delaying tactics waiting for five year statute to pass so they get off scot free on a technicality like both clubs did at CAS, then claim they are innocent and did nothing wrong.???

City are doing the whole delaying thing again with the PL investigation, luckily the PL didn't put stupid statute in their process.

Time to rein in these two sportswash clubs who abused the system, ESL has promised to stop that.
 
Being completely honest, does anyone really care about modern day footie anymore?

The whole sham at the top is why I honestly wouldn't be arsed if were relegated.

No corrupt top 6 officials, VAR, cheaper tickets, better away days - not bothered about the finances, quality of player etc just want some fair competition me.

UEFA and the elite clubs have completely ruined the game and sadly the domestic leagues wont have the balls to boot these sides out the league if they do make the ESL.

I want to see more connection to the game I grew up watching, i want english kids play from the academy, and make their way up the league system.

I want it more affordable and to feel like we matter, rather than the tely clapper and over-sea fan who just wants to see names.

Im not interested i what the rest of the world think about our league.

The tickets won’t be cheaper by much , some away grounds charge more

None of that is ever going to happen mate so I would suggest for your own sanity you find another sport to watch, the game has evolved and moved on.

His lot should be getting lumped in with these clubs under fire at the moment given the sponsor they have on the front of their shirts and the links to terrorism. I'm honestly surprised that given how much their fans crave attention that one/multiple have not taken some sort of moral high ground over it, they do love to be the ones leading the way and that.

Their reaction to the breakaway league said it all. They should have kicked them all out for even entertaining it but instead they have them the smallest fine in the world and allowed them straight back in even stronger than ever. Squealing pigs all wanting to get at the trough. Absolutely sickening. There’s entire boardrooms of clubs in the premier league (probably including ours) who don’t want to win anything, want the top teams to get even stronger so the money is better, and have no strategy to compete other than staying in the league and counting their money. Sickening.
 

Suspect that with the yanks increasingly barging their way in, they'll see this as an opportunity to run things as they do in American sport and business, where oligarchs collude with each other to drive down wages.

'Won't accept our insulting contract offer? Not even arsed, we're in the Champions League anyways. Off you go then... though I suspect you'll find the other "superclubs" will see your value the way we do'.

I don't disagree with you or anyone else on a lot of this but I do think it is funny that people think having different refs with no VAR means that suddenly they're not going to be fuming at referees anymore
