The small world of Eddie Howe

Would you have expected him to finish in the European spots with Bournemouth?

Half the team are players he fielded in League One and the Championship, he’s spent to keep them in the league and made them a stable top flight club.

We appoint the wrong managers, full stop. We don’t appoint the wrong “type” of managers.

So, you want a manager with experience of taking a mid-table team into the European spots? A bit like Marco Silva did with Estoril? A bit like Koeman did with Southampton? Like Allardyce did with Bolton?

It’s nonsense.

In a credible league yes - Silva doesnt count as he done it in a bum league.

Koeman - I maintain we didn't give him enough time and sacked him too soon. Whilst he was a bell he is a decent manager who would have this side in the top half right now atleast imo.

Howe is another tippy tappy nice manager and im sick of employing them.

We need a no nosense get in their face type appointment imo - suits the clubs identity and has the fans responding to it.

Nothing good comes from modern Everton when we have this tippy football it has GP silent and unless you have world class players to effectively pull it off it just leads to boring crab football - seen it with Martinez and we are seeing it again with Silva.

Not to mention Howe is very inconsistent- he can get away with 1 win in 7 at Bournemouth - you and I both know the fans would be on his back here for it.

Klopp, Conte, Pochettino, Rodgers, loads of managers made the step up from clubs with smaller expectations to larger ones - and did so successfully.

Howe would crying once the dugout by Christmas.

You suggest that Howe is somehow weak-minded and is either unwilling or unable to manage pressure.....

Based on what?

What do we need?

He couldn’t hack it at Burnley and all he had to contend with there was inbred Stone Island clad,Tommy Robinson wannabes.

We need someone with fire in them, who won’t accept lack of effort and mediocrity.

That ain’t Howe.

Ok, so the fact he quit Burnley, after doing an excellent job there, EIGHT years ago means that

1) He has no fire in him
2) He accepts lack of effort and mediocrity
3) He’s incapable of working in the North.

Peculiar rationale but each to their own.

The only realistic manager I would take currently working in England is Biesla.

Attainable
No nonsense
Drills his players
Has a way of playing and doesnt change from it to fit in square pegs.
Takes no BS from the media/officials

Exactly what we need.
