trying to be positive here, i actually think a season loan for barry makes sense.

at 32 he'll be grateful for the opportunity to play for one of the top sides in the country rather than having to drop down the league,
he'll be hungry to prove to city that he's worth keeping, and he'll also be realistic that he's only here as cover for gibbo.

an england international with premier league experience who can slot in as cover and wont cost much?as well as experience for the youngsters to learn from, good deal for me

Won't cost much??? Them 120k per week is chicken feed for us.

As for proving to city that he is worth keeping, he is in the last 12 months of his contract.

There's no way us or anyone else for that matter, would pick up all of Barry's wages.

isn't it pretty much standard with city that they pay the majority of their loan players ages?
bellamy,santacruz etc had at least 75% of their wages paid by city while out on loan

Agree, Hopefully an upgrade on Gibson, or at least one hell of a cover.

We desperately need another CM, Osman was poor again for the most part today. Gareth Barry on loan would be a decent signing.

Osman is now by far our weak link.

For years it was Hibbert, the right back, in a position where as long as you're good enough in the rest of the field you can afford to carry a player who isn't good enough.

Osman plays in the centre of the park, and completely stinks the place out. We cannot carry a central midfielder.

Get rid ffs, no room for sentiment.
