I would far rather us LOAN a fossil than buy one. I like Martinez loaning a fair amount in his first year while he gets to know the squad. Hoping next ear each loan is for young players and that they include options to buy like moyes insisted on. But loaning a player like Barry for us this year seems like a good move to me.

Dont even care, Manuel Fernandes is a 'Martinez player'. Deep lying playmaker, which is what we have needed for sometime, think he'd be brilliant for us.
If Felli is sold then i feel we need 2 midfielders (1 holding and 1 box to box), if we keep him then just get a holding mid in.
Also feel we need a ball playing CB to give proper competition to Jags and Distin, although i thought we defended quite well today i felt we played ourselves into trouble at times trying to pass it out (its gonna take time to teach old dogs new tricks).

You obviously are against McCarthy BUT it is clearly obvious that we need a midfielder or even two, today we missed Gibbo like more than ever.....i believe that Fellaini wants to go, as does his agent,his father, he is our chance to cash in... watching him all pre-season, he would be the obvious sacrifice, we could buy two class players for his single fee....
mcCarthy, for me , never 15 million but certainly 8-10 leaving another 10-15 million to replace the likes of a Ossie
For me , its a no brainer, I love Felli, but he is such a niche of a player, that i think may not be the making of martinez... i cannot imagine martinez lumping the ball 50 yards to the edge of the box to have a CM chest down and bring other into play..... that would bypass the talent of our up and coming star Barkely...

McCarthy is not a type of player who will win a game, which is why no one will buy him for 15 million, he is an engine who is an outlet for players, someone who can collect the ball and pass it quickly to attackers so they can form an attack and also track players. Would rather have McCarthy in the midfield today instead of Osman to be honest. But only for around 8 million tho.
