sounds about right. The only two prices i've read (from vaguely reliable sources) have been £625k and £1.5m. Not a chance on this earth it was £3.5m

well with sources that trustworthy, how can we possibly doubt you!!
Besides which, even if we DID spend that much on him (which I massively doubt) it's not exactly unreasonable for a young, talented, highly thought of goalkeeper, to provide competition and a long term replacement for Howard.
