Must admit I am panicking a bit about the lack of activity. Irrational I know as it so early. Plus he really needs to meet the squad before making major expenditure decisions. But villa/ soton/ RS are getting their business done.

Forster is a big guy, but the only time I saw him play was when he was on loan away from Newcastle. He looked good. I'm afraid his value may be inflated by his age and his being called into the England camp.

Also, he looks like the lovechild of Gerrard and Rooney:

I don't know mate. I can see some Garth Bale in there.
Worst
threesome
ever.

I'd be more concerned if I'm honest if we were signing players quick...

That could potentially mean 2 things....
1 - Martinez had come in and without any thought just bought his Wigan targets.
2 - The club were forcing Moyes original targets onto Martinez.

He needs a little time to way up his options, look at what we were already looking at vs his own targets. Access which are best suited to us as a club and the type of players he needs for his vision/style.

No panic whatsoever yet, lots to be gone through and spoke about with various people at the club. He's going about it the right way IMO.

Also I imagine the Fellaini situation has a massive bearing on who may or may not be coming in.

I'm sticking by it in the hope that official people stalk this forum-
a top top option to come in as goalie would be Khune from Kaizer Chiefs. Top class goalie and would be super cheap.

I think he would be a brilliant signing. He is a bit of a moaner but a superb keeper. Probably be a cheap transfer fee but I'm not sure about wages.

Things will start rolling soon. Chill lads

I think its pretty encouraging at the moment that there weren't a couple of 'Martinez type players' just ushered in and that he is having a decent look at the squad and what we need... it is boring though ... any suggestions what to do while we wait?

To be fair 2 or 3 quality players is all we need if we don't sell anyone.

Three senior players have left though, and Heitinga could follow. That said, one or two from the youth team might step up into the regular match day squad.

I think step 1 in changing our style of play is better linking between defenders and midfield.
