Well I would like to think Oviedo or Garbutt will replace Baines eventually but IF we where to sell him now and wanted a proper replacement, one with experience I can't really think of anyone other than Aly Cissokho, maybe Benoit Tremoulinas or Filipe Luis having a hard time thinking of anyone we could bring who would be close to Baines level. But we could go for younger options like Jetro Willems, Sandro (Porto), or maybe even raid MU for Alex Buttner or Fabio.
But again replacing Baines will be hard, he is currently one of the best LBs in the world. Expecting his replacement to be as good as him or even close to its not realistic.

Good point, but I wouldn't class that as a new (bid for, negotiate over, agree terms with) transfer. Just my opinion like...not saying you're wrong Brenz.

OK. Cheers for that. I'm of the opinion that should Baines leave we'd need to go no further than Southampton and sign Luke Shaw. Additionally, Aaron Cresswell is worthy of a chance at EPL level.
Agree entirely that replacing him like for like would be nigh on impossible.
