Are you on a wind up or just thick mate? So you are saying if players didn't want to sign for Wigan, he shouldn't have bought any players at all, so how would he have build a team mate? Kone is better then our strikers mate, James McCartey was a top buy for 1 million, Moses was another great buy. Wigan wage budget is 32 million while ours is double, we can pay a lot more wages and a massive club compared to wigan who don't even have fans.

I don't see how many "ace" players he had signed for Wigan. One? Moses and he made a good profit on him.

I think Martinez will give the youth it's chance. So IF these lads perform , do we need major ovehaul. He hasn't even met the squad yet , so maybe the answers are already in place.

There's only Barkley from our youth anywhere near ready. Maybe Duffy too, and as a complete outsider lundstrum.

Vellios , Oviedo ...maybe youth wasn't the correct term ...younger fringe players maybe would be better. At least they may be given more of a chance to show something.

Ah I see... Oveido yes definately, sorry but I don't think vellios is up to much. Only got near the first team because of injuries and has largely been ignored from the u21's

If Alcaraz was coming from say.....Anderlecht or even a club like Gent, with him being a Paraguayan international, people would be simply saying that he is a sensible pick up on a free and will provide good back up to Distin who is getting on a bit.

People are getting all confused because he is coming from Wigan, who stuck their neck out and actually bought him after the last world cup. it's a common error, called not looking at the bigger picture.

As for Kone at 5m, if we got 2 good seasons out of him there will be absolutely no fuss and he will have proved his worth at that price.

Because he had to keep selling his best players every season...Moses, NZogbia, Valencia....all sold at the big profits that Wigan need to survive.
