The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

He either tweeted that or that them nor Fer aren't among the three that are close to be signed.

But I guess he's right. I don't really like that Kone signing tbh.

I don't mind Kone. We are very light up top and need an extra body. He can causes defences problems.

The idea I'm guessing is that hopefully Jelavic wakes up out of a coma and that Kone helps him out with Vic and Vellios chipping in.

We're not gonna get a 20+ season striker unless were lucky on the cheap. So as long as we've got 2 capable of bagging 10+ each, it'll add to us.

I agree. But I've just come to terms that, he's boss with jags. Just superb. And unless he's just gonna take a wage, he'll be wanting 1st team football which he won't get at City.

There's an england squad crying out for a centre half partnership which may lead to a world cup squad. Those two would boss it for club and country.

If he apologises for being a tit when he left and takes a wage cut I'd happily take him back. He was a class player when he played for us and he was an important part of City's title winning side. He was just unlucky last season that Nastasić played well when he was in the side.

I'd agree, we need two additional forwards. Cost us badly last season having no options once Jelavic went off the boil.

We should judge the transfer window at the end of the summer.

I think if we had already sold Fellaini + Heitinga & brought in a couple of significant signings, THEN brought in the likes of Alcaraz, McGeady, Kone it would be seen in a different light.

Definitely mate! The way im seeing it Roberto is sorting out the squad depth with what little money we have available now and when Fellaini and Heitinga go the first team will be improved. Being honest, i see nothing wrong with that.

Another way to look at it, would be to say that we have replaced Neville, Hitz and Mucha with these 3 players and it has cost around 9m and given the squad a bit more depth.

Any further transfers will obviously be funded by the sale of Fellaini and Heitinga

Got a point. We need depth and capable players to fill holes rather than shuffling the pack like Moyes used to do.

It would be good if we bag these 3 then hopefully got after the bigger fish.

LCAB must be pretty sure to be so blunt, so I'd suspect he's right.

Normally when they don't seem to know anything you'll see vague, mysterious comments that can be interpreted differently.

Anyway, I'll trust Roberto with Alcaraz and I rate Kone. McGeady... no. He's pants.

Not too shabby...

Decent business. A decent enough winger who has got good experience at a good level for 4 million, more options out wide too. 5 mill for a striker is not expensive, if Kone bags us 12 goals it's money well spent. He's a unit and bullied us at the DW last season. Alcaraz on a free is a no brainer. Solid, Paraguay international and decent back-up for Distin.

Not happy with it. Alcaraz is fine on a free but surely we can spend £9-10m better than getting Kone and McGeady? Both are Stoke / Sunderland standard transfers and players which Martinez would have been hoping he could attract to Wigan (and obviously did with Kone).

If we get these then I imagine we won't have money for Honda without selling anyone.

McGeady & Kone or Honda & Redmond. I know which i'd rather have in terms of quality and potential. Hopefully we can get Jelavic firing again and Mirallas can play up top. We'd also have money to spend on a top striker if Fellaini goes

Mostly it the same with Kone who pisses all over Victor who is one of our key players.

Really how many goals did Kone score last season for Wigan even the one v us when we were away was 2 yards offside - he looks like a headless chicken to me - Victor put a good shift in last season, and scored some vital goals - jelly on form is better than Kone!

LOL Vitor had scored 26 goals in 167 games, his finishing is dreadful and he not even a kid anymore. he 25. Kone is just as strong as Vitor and is better at passing and can score goals.
