I'd be very concerned if scenario 1 happened. It could go so badly for us. Unfortunately i wouldn't be that surprised anymore.

Redmond is still young and learning the game, as got a lot of potential and for £2.5m makes sense going in for him IMO. I think he would be a better bet than McGeady, although I wouldn't mind him. Redmond would accept at first, the role of being cover, competition in wide areas and in time may become a main stay in the team, but McGeady might feel as though he should be a starter from off and get dog on if on bench a lot and want out sooner than he's signed?!.

As for Kone, IF were in for him and can get him for as little as £5m then it wouldn't be so bad, I know he's 29 verging on 30 but he's decent and a big improvement on Vic!.

Big IF on Kone as well. If we had made an 'enquiry' Dave W would have been all over SkySports....

Unless Bony is the next Afonso Alves I just can't see this happening. Vitesse have denied it anyway. Reckon his agent is trying to panic other clubs into making offers. Haven't seen much of him to know whether he is worth a punt at the money they want from him or not, but he does appeal a bit more than Kone.

Quality young British players are in demand and valued at a premium. If he was good enough to be starting for the 6th best team in England then he wouldn't be available for 2 million pound, no matter how skint Birmingham are.

And he would be attracting a lot more interest than just that of Swansea and Norwich if he was that good. He's an expensive 'potential' signing, like Dan Gosling and Magaye Gay were.
