The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

Perhaps Redmond isn't ready to be in our starting 11, but it will give us some pace on the bench which our away games against Arsenal and Spurs showed we badly need.

Makes more sense to go after Redmond for £2m than it does McGeady for £4m. The potential is there, plus he'd be on considerably less wages.

If LCAB said we're signing Kone, Alcaraz and Mcgeady on Monday in a blunt manner, then I believe that's what will happen.

He stood out when we played them in a pre season game not so long ago. Seen him another time too and he played very well. Not sure other than that.

I remember that pre season game really well.

He tore us a right new one that day. Kept an eye on him since then. He's very raw. But that's not always a bad thing.

He's not too different to Zaha but a fraction of the price. And crucially for us if we get him we could sell him on for much more in a few years if he turns out decent.

Basically

Get him.

I need to zone out and stop becoming obsessed with transfers its depressing knowing the players we could bid for and sign are being snapped up and or linked with other teams

I really don't think i'm going to make it through this transfer window. Either going to need a life time supply of bleach or just go into hibernation until the end of it.

Just don't kill yourself before MGS5 comes out mate ;)

Nah but I really wouldn't blame you. Got a bottle of Domestos in the drawer just in case.

And here it is I'd take one of the four names listed here, take one guess.

Roberto Martinez is closing in on a £6million move to make Aiden McGeady his top summer signing as Everton manager.
Everton's former Wigan boss is on the verge of a transfer breakthrough as he prepares to take £5million striker Arouna Kone and out-of-contract centre-back Antolin Alcaraz from his old club.

Second time lucky: Roberto Martinez hopes to land Aiden McGeady
Mindful of the need to maintain the progress made under David Moyes, Martinez aims to add at least two more new faces to his squad, with McGeady set to be the costliest of all.
Desperately disappointed to miss out on the Spartak Moscow and former Celtic winger in January, after a £5million bid was turned down, he has kept tabs on a player he rates highly and is confident of landing him at the second attempt.
His other signing will be a keeper, with Atletico Madrid's Joel Robles a possible target after impressing on loan at Wigan last season.

Switch: Wigan striker Arouna Kone could be on his way to Everton
Everton's prospects of hanging on to Arsenal target Marouane Fellaini have improved after it emerged his £24million escape clause is due to expire in around six weeks.
Anxious to avoid being caught out by a pre-deadline approach and left without enough time to find an adequate replacement, Everton insisted on limiting the duration of the clause when negotiating Fellaini's current contract.
To the consternation of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who is still weighing up the financial implications of meeting the buy-out figure and personal terms, Everton will be at liberty to reject any offers for their in-demand midfielder after August 15.

Nothing is strong enough to kill me, my excitement for that game will keep me going.

Ahaha, its painful watching other teams do business. But until the big outs, there will be no big ins.
