The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

That makes no sense at all.

Right i'll make it simple. Moyes isn't our manger, he isn't being paid by the club. Martinez is our manager he is being paid by our club.

Moyes is being paid by manchester united, he is manchester united's manager 'officially' come 1'st july.

I honestly dont see why everyone is slating Moyes?
What is he going to do lol. He isn't going to say to United 'I cant go for Baines even though hes a top LB simply because I managed him at Everton'

For me Moyes has shown no regards or loyalty to EFC throughout this whole process.

He has clearly ran down his contract to secure a position that makes him more employable with improved financial package as a direct result of not being under a contract. He let the contract run down and dismissed it that it would be reviewed at the end of the year. This, I blame BK as much as DM. Anyone who is naive enough to believe that the decision by Ferguson to retire at short notice is deluded, this top job in the world clubs is not recruited for in one week, also Mourinho confirmed he was aware of the retirement a long time ago.

By not getting compo, has put additional financial hardship on the club, the very thing that Moyes cited every year for the last 11 years. He could easily of signed a new contract to achieve a welcome compensation package for the club if he really was loyal and felt some sincerity towards the club.

He has now come back for the club, with what I consider and absolute disgraceful starting offer using his knowledge of contract situation, players feelings and the poor state of our finances. This is a total disregard to every EFC fan out there. He will get his man and it will be around 18-20 million, he will make Bainsey head turn and the club will have no other option to sell... Leacott scenario

So for all you Moysey lovers, yes he gave us 11 years but we paid him very, very, very well....17th highest paid in the world . People state he stayed for such a long time for loyalty but lets not forget he used us as much as we needed him, we paid him well and backed him.

And now he insults us to this level, just watch, he will be back for some of our academy prospects and back room.....

i find it hard to belive that kenwright is paying to managers wages tbh.

also the last 200 pages of this thread seem to be:

"kone is to old" "kone is good tho"

"mcgeedy crap" "yes he is"

"alcaraz on a free sounds good" "but only if johnny goes"

getting a little bit repetitive now eh.

Thanks for repeating it though.

So we're signing McGeady, Alcaraz, Kone and possibly Redmond for a combined total of around £11.5m. My reaction to this is meh, verging on decent. Somewhat like a pick and mix bag with a few sours your not sure on.

We're gonna be boss on Fifa next season with McGeady's 5* skills and Redmond and Kone's 85+ pace.

Sky Sports sources understand Arouna Kone is only interested in a move to Everton to team up again with his former manager Roberto Martinez.

We understand Everton have made an enquiry for the striker, who has a clause in his contract at Wigan that allows him to leave for £6million.

Norwich and Swansea are also interested in Kone, who joined Wigan last summer from Spanish side Levante.

Kone, who scored 11 Premier League goals in his debut campaign in England, has already confirmed his desire to leave Wigan following their relegation from the top-flight.

"You always have ambitions as a footballer, and I don't intend to play in the English second division," declared Kone in The Sun last weekend.

"Wigan have gone down, which is a real shame. It's up to them to set out their stance about my situation. I aim to play for one of the best clubs in England, and I hope I will get the chance.

"I've had plenty of approaches, I can't reveal the names of the clubs. But Crystal Palace have gone up, and from the moment a club is in the Premier League that is good for me.

"I'm under contract with Wigan for two more years. But if there is an offer that is good for both me and Wigan I will seek to leave."
