The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

Although my confiedence has been knocked with all this Baines talk, im fairly confident that this transfer window can be a good one.

For one all these players being linked at this current time are with no sales. So that's an indication of the TV money we have so about 12-13 million. We have Neville, Mucha, Hitz all going out and they need to be replaced and that is what Martinez is addressing first.

He is addressing this issue first because Felli and Johnny are still Everton players. When/If we see them go then we see the big boys come in such as Honda, Fer, Soldado and whoever else. If we can keep a hold of Baines, add 6 players to the squad to get our numbers back up (all of which do have some form of ability or Martinez can trust them when he needs them), get them key players to really push us to the next level such as Honda and Soldado (Soldado just being my preferred striker after Bony but hes going to Swansea). Add in 2-3 loans of good quality such as Deulofeu and Raphina (which out of the teams they are linked to, we are the most likely to offer first team football.) and i will be very confident. This is sadly only the ideal window, this remains to be seen if it will happen and it probably wont, but that's my take on how the transfer may pan out if it goes our way.

For me Moyes has shown no regards or loyalty to EFC throughout this whole process.

He has clearly ran down his contract to secure a position that makes him more employable with improved financial package as a direct result of not being under a contract. He let the contract run down and dismissed it that it would be reviewed at the end of the year. This, I blame BK as much as DM. Anyone who is naive enough to believe that the decision by Ferguson to retire at short notice is deluded, this top job in the world clubs is not recruited for in one week, also Mourinho confirmed he was aware of the retirement a long time ago.

By not getting compo, has put additional financial hardship on the club, the very thing that Moyes cited every year for the last 11 years. He could easily of signed a new contract to achieve a welcome compensation package for the club if he really was loyal and felt some sincerity towards the club.

He has now come back for the club, with what I consider and absolute disgraceful starting offer using his knowledge of contract situation, players feelings and the poor state of our finances. This is a total disregard to every EFC fan out there. He will get his man and it will be around 18-20 million, he will make Bainsey head turn and the club will have no other option to sell... Leacott scenario

So for all you Moysey lovers, yes he gave us 11 years but we paid him very, very, very well....17th highest paid in the world . People state he stayed for such a long time for loyalty but lets not forget he used us as much as we needed him, we paid him well and backed him.

And now he insults us to this level, just watch, he will be back for some of our academy prospects and back room.....

Spot on

Just reading the regional newspaper talk on sky text and the echo linking us with a move for Jeremie Aliadiere.

You wouldn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Last I heard if him was he was an Arsenal reject. Why are we being linked with no marks like this?

Firstly financial compensation for managers is nothing compared to players anyway. And many managers have get out clauses for bigger clubs in their contracts.

Secondly, SAF informed his board at United in April that he was retiring, Moyes would have been approached later.

Everton knew from the start that there was a good chance he would leave. What did you expect him to do ? Sign a contract when United became interested ?

I'm not exactly convinced about Moyes not knowing until April tbh. It all seemed too convenient for me that Moyes let his contract run out just as SAF was leaving, and then Mourinho let slip 2 weeks ago that he'd known for 6 months that the United job would be avilable this summer but he had his heart set on Chelsea all along. Someone isn't being honest, maybe Mourinho but maybe not...
