The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

Why are we all judging a signing before he's even kicked a ball for us?! Thought a lot would have learnt from the Gibson signing last January.
If he is absolutely gash next season, by all means moan, but what if you moan now and Kone actually has a decent season next year? You'll look like the biggest **** ever.

They don't mate, they just crawl up there own arse and do the exact same thing with the next person we sign.

There's 2 threads for talking about Kone so it looks like I'm duplicating myself.

All the people writing Kone off are the same people who admire Victor Anichebe

All the people writing off cheese are the same people who admire chalk.

The above makes as much sense as your post.

Yep, seems standard practice.

Though some beauts carry on their campaign of nonsense even when it is proven to them that they are clearly wrong (example 1 is the Staveros Mark Hughes farce on kipper)

And all the people who eat cornflakes are the same people who admire Gothic architecture.

I think it shows how much we're struggling as a club compared to where we should be when our main competitors are all strengthening and we're trying to justify why we're probably going to buy 2 or 3 journeymen players who the same rivals wouldn't look at. Spurs looking at signing brazilian internationals to improve their side and linked with some of the most highly rated youth players in Europe.

We need to look for younger players who could become great ones, not older players who might contribute but will never take us to the next level. Many won't agree but if we're going to sell Baines and Fellaini then i'd rather the funds be spent purely on promising youth under the age of 23 and build around these and Barkley etc. We might struggle for a couple of seasons but have the potential to then move forward rather than just competing for 6th, 7th or 8th

I wouldnt mind Kone at all. I think he will be good for us.
Martinez will surely sign younger blood too, theres no doubt in me mind.

This doomsday mongering is getting a bit hilarious.
Think it depends on how he rates the likes of Barkley, Duffy, Lundstram, Vellios, Oviedo etc

I think David Villa would be a great singning! But the problem is the 14M-transfer fee and I don't think that these rumours about Villa are true.
