Stones didn't look very good in the U-20s, imo. With his stride, looks more like a CB to me.

I do believe we'd have been in for him if Fellaini was soon to be off. Possibly a good sign for us.

Martinez never really used wingers at wigan as well. Their attacks mainly went through Maloney in the middle.

Wigan typically played 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 last season.

So he did use wingers.

Wigan typically played 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 last season.

So he did use wingers.

There are no outside midfielders in a 4-3-3.

In a 3-4-3, the wide players are wing backs, who would be Baines and Coleman. I doubt very much you see us in this formation much as there's really no need for it.
