we cannot afford a recognized senior striker - accept it - Kone was the best we could do at that price -
my SUGGESTION is to think ahead - surely there must be good young strikers like LUKAKU just waiting to be discovered -
it would be in our long term interest to find a young one with potential instead of settling for an established average striker -
remember he is not going to be our main striker immediately - but hopefully will be one day soon
Our first XI is good enough for top 6 as is. If we buy players that help us maintain a challenge over the course of a season then surely it is good enough. I know its a fairly common correlation between money spent and quality brought in but its not always the way.
Except Lukaku was fairly well known.my suggestion would be a young Belgian,German or Spanish striker who is relatively unknown - look what Lukaku (19) did for WBA last season
