we cannot afford a recognized senior striker - accept it - Kone was the best we could do at that price -
my SUGGESTION is to think ahead - surely there must be good young strikers like LUKAKU just waiting to be discovered -
it would be in our long term interest to find a young one with potential instead of settling for an established average striker -
remember he is not going to be our main striker immediately - but hopefully will be one day soon

One reason why both Demba Ba or Cisse would not sign for us......

RELIGION

if they won't where Wonga on the shirt, they ain't wearing a beer company...

im gutted because they are ace.....

Just had a mental image there of Cisse walking out on the pitch, squashed into a Chang Soda kit

The point is kone and ince will have cost us near £13 mil that's terrible business Idont mind kone but on top of robles, alcaraz and deulfeou, we need to bring in someone who can slot into the starting 11 and improve us sack spending 6-8 mil of our limited budget on a water boy on the bench Naismith can do that for free

stop using lakaku mate as it ruins your argument! as he was brought by chelsea for £19m at the age of 17 so unless we buy them at 14/15 years old there is no way we could buy a young striker LIKE lakaku!!

use benteka (sp) as villa paid £7m for him at the age of 22

Our first XI is good enough for top 6 as is. If we buy players that help us maintain a challenge over the course of a season then surely it is good enough. I know its a fairly common correlation between money spent and quality brought in but its not always the way.

Is it???

The reality is to push us on and really mix it up with that top 6 (who will all sign players) we realisticaly need to be adding players like Honda, Rooney, Moses to our first 11. Which we all now we won't/can't !!

BENTEKE (22) at VILLA is another fine example of what we should be looking for -
he was bought for 7 mil by Villa - now he is worth 30 mil -
we just need to look harder - instead of just hoping Ince will transform himself into a talent he has been unable to impress with so far
