Both proved they were good players mate after us, not making it at a team can be down to lots of factors

I think Davek is probably right about the changes we may see .
I think that Gibson is more a passer of the ball than a carrier and here again I come back to McCarthy who can play the type of role that Martinez wants,Fer also can play this role.
In house ,I think long term Lundstram may be that kind of player but as yet he is too young.
Barkley is probably too attack minded to play a role where the defensive side is as important as the attacking role

Tell you what Chelsea do have a gem in de bruyne tho, maybe a loan.

De Bruyne is every bit as good as Oscar or Hazzard or Mata mate, just behind them all due to not having the experience and at chelsea unlikely to find that coming anytime soon
