We'v been linked with plenty of gash players long before Martinez arrived at Everton though.

Depending on how you look a it, we never signed half of them though. We have signed Kone, Alcaraz up to now. Hardly CL calibre are they. As the Mighty Bobby has promised.

MUCH rather have Dempsey than Bent. He works hard. He is versatile. He scores goals. He makes goals.
Bent often does well when he first goes somewhere but it doesn't take long for him to get a sulk on, fall out with the manager and team mates who see he is a lazy primadonna. Then the goals dry up and the fact that he does and offers absolutely nothing else becomes blindingly obvious. In short he is an English, scowling Yakubu with the good and bad that entails. No place for him in Bobby's happy-clappy, positive, no I in team EFC!!

His record doesn't say that. He's only had problems with Villa for some unknown reason. Be it contract rumours or Lambert doesn't rate him.

Bill said he promised it, I haven seen or heard him say it himself, I struggle to take anything Bill says seriously anymore.

Those 2 were signed for around £5m, i'm not too sure that paltry sum of money, by today's mental transfer fee's standard, would have gotten us much better.

I dunno, does a budget of 6 million get you CL calibre players?

I cant say I have seen many go for that much so far in this transfer window

Certainly none that I think we had a realistic chance of signing an drastically improving us

I doubt it mate, but thanks to Bill that ( comment about the CL ) will be used as a stick to beat him with my some Evertonians and probably the media too, i used it totally in jest, but these players we are being linked with are no where near CL quality.

Think Kone will get us 10+ this year so IMO will be worth it

Clint Dempsey. LOL. OK, i promised i would not open my mouth about Martinez, until at least 6, 7 months, but these signings are bordering on embarrassing now. I get the happy lads are glad Moyes is gone and with that the defensive style, but signing players of the calibre of this is not where a top 6 side needs to be aiming for.

I KNOW WE ARE ONLY LINKED WITH DEMPSEY

Is Martinez really responsible for the players that we are linked with in papers though??? They make most of them up.
