The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

Defo don't want to see Dempsey here. We don't need him. Much rather get another BOSS CM or young hungry striker.

I don't think there's anymore money spare except through player sales. I expect Fellaini to go. I sincerely hope we don't sign McCarthy with that money. Surely surely we could attract a top top player with £20m. Raiding Wigan and a loam signing from Barca just spells DOOM and GLOOM to me.

No, we really have no more money. With compo for RM, signing fees, agent fees, registration fees etc. we have apparently spent just over £10m (as Robles was apparently €1.5m up front) and the budget was £10-12m. This is the word from the club to multiple sources and whilst there might be a little wriggle room if a great deal came up the sense I have is all we can manage now is a loan or two unless/until we sell. This is still Kenwright's Everton...

Well that's worrying if true.

Not doubting you mate, but I'll withhold my judgement until Sept.

Moyes got the piss ripped out of him for saying we're taking a knife to a gunfight. The joke being that the quality of his signings deemed the statement incorrect. If this is true, we really would be taking a knife to a gunfight, as far as top 5/6 is concerned ffs. And on the back of a huge budget by our standards as well. All speculation for now like, but I hope we pull something at least a little bit inspired off before the window closes.

Course we do...we've just spent it covering our operating budget deficit (our annual £5-10m loss), starting to nudge the debt down, funky synthetic grass, white nets, trendy new dug-outs and ****e badge designers rather than on fripperies like quality players ;-)

Have they really got rid of the blue nets? :(

New car seats in the dugout like all the top teams have?

Im just gonna leave this here.

David Moyes is considering bringing experienced England international Leon Osman to Old Trafford in a deal worth around £8 million. David Moyes has been quoted saying that he “just wanted to sign someone" and Osman fits the bill. Having already failed in bids to bring Leighton Baines, Marouane Fellaini and Steven Naismith to Old Trafford from Everton to former Blues boss will try one last time to raid his former club for players. Osman has seemingly fallen out of favour with new Everton manger Roberto Martinez after he took a “disgraceful" penalty against Juventus. Expect this one to go on all summer.
