Just hope this gets done early, as the last thing we need is it to be on/off all summer and then he is sold on 31st August and all the money goes to the bank.
 
LB when Baines leaves?

Who could we sign as new LB when Bainsey will leave us? I reckon we would get about 15 mio for him so we would have enough money to sign a decent replacement. I want to hear your names.
 
He's not gone yet, there's the transfer rumour thread for things like this. I'd rather just see Garbutt given a chance before we go blow spend the money.

If he does go we don't need to sign anyone. Apart from Distin and Nev, we've got Cahill, Osman and Big Vic who I'm sure can come in and do a job there if need be. And let's not forget that young Barkley chap, who I believe is rather promising.
In other words, we're sorted.
 
The Mirror said he is leaving, for £12 million, and David Moyes feels Distin can take his place. So the question is, why are so many people expecting him to leave? The price mentioned was a joke and Moyes will never let him go for anything like that.
