Has anyone every done Interrail around Europe?

Done them twice, admittedly for football (World Cup 90 in Italy and Euro 92 in Sweden). Were great for saving coin on accommodation as we'd just jump on overnight trains to anywhere and then go back the next morning. Was deffo minty by the end of the month, though!

Just booked Gdansk for a weekend with my friends at the end of September. Anyone been before?

Seems to be a really historic city with the collapse of communism and catalyst city for WW2. As well as cheap ale!

I stayed there for EURO 2012,it's a good place. The old town and riverfront are typical east European, you can visit the shipyard which has a big " exhibition" for want of a better word about the strike and the rise of Solidarity and have a pint in the works pub.
There's also the Roads to Freedom museum about life under communism. There's a brew pub in the old town and all the ale is cheap.
www.inyourpocket.com should point you to a few good places.

My gf rook me for my 30th, great spot if your into that sort of history.

A beer cost between 90p to £1.50.

The women are fit, standard for eastern Europe really.

Booked a weekend in Wales near Llangollen at the end of the month.

4 nights in Berlin in September. Gutted its international weekend because i would of loved to take in a game for Hertha, Union or Dynamo.

Book 3 nights in Vilnius in Novemeber for my gf's birthday. Anyone else been there offer any tips?

Vilnius is great. Would highly recommend taking a tour of the city and making it to Trakai if you have transportation out of the city.

Yes, another good place to just walk around the old town. There's the castle, cathedral, lots of other small churches,Zalgiris' ground which was a dump when I went about 10 years ago. The Museum of the Lithuanian genocide, complete with padded cell, fascinating and harrowing at the same time, Lokis or Lokys ? restaurant and the bus or train will get you to Trakai.
