Would rather sign Malcolm who Arsenal will probably replace Walcott with. Instead of give us your tired, hungry and your poor our motto seems to be give us your rejects, bench warmers and has beens.

He’s better than Lennon though I guess.

Loan would be fine. I even suggested it earlier this year. I don't rate Bolasie or Lennon.

£20m+ though.

They must be laughing at Moshiri.

Very happy if this goes through. £20m is cheap now for a player of that age and experience.

He has a point to prove too. I don't put too much stock in a player not making it at Arsenal under Wenger in recent times as that club has been a trainwreck with him in charge for 3-4 years. And despite being "poor" he scored 1 in 2 last season mostly from wide areas or, to put into context, more than Riyad Mahrez scored in Leicester's title winning season.

He's a direct, obvious improvement on what we have and adds what we're screaming out for - pace, an eye for goal and a top level mentality to our attack.

I just don’t see it working with the way we play and the way we are at the minute. I don’t want to keep going on about my pure hatred for the manager but it’s not his type of player, he plays football the opposite way of walcotts attributes.

I think the point from Sam will be that if we have different/better players we can change the way we play, mate

I think Walcot improves us his quality is without question and we badly need pace and support players for the front position he would radically improve our cutting edge and i think protect our flanks, we wont have teams double teaming our full backs and leaving Walcott spare.

Im not a fan of the mentality at Arsenal it seems very snow flake to me and that is my one concern, Walcott has always struck me as someone who may surrender ambition to contentment. Maybe i am wrong but thats my impression.

On signing alternatives Malcom etc. I think you have to recognise the cycle we are in. When you look at City and Chelsea and how they developed they had to sign the best of the rest in their innitial stages of development before they moved on to the Hazards or Agueros. They were initially making signings like Joe Cole, Duff, Santa Cruz, Adebeyor etc. Its a phase of development you have to succeed at and it often comes with blowing to much money on the best of the rest to get you were you need to be. We need to be in for players like Walcott.

Hmmm, torn over this one lads.

On one hand, I can imagine him to be pretty effective - sometimes I seen him play and thought he was unplayable because of his pace and ability (ok ok they weren't that often) and if he can replicate a bit of that here I think he would be a successs....

On the other, his injuries and the fact he never really seemed to take off the way he should have worry me... and the fact that El Huge one wants to be more defensive (after splattering the opposition goal in the last few games and decided he wants to take it easy) makes me wonder how he will fit.

Could be amazing, or rubbish.....

like every signing really...

TL;DR - I dunno.

397 appearances 108 goals. Can’t argue with those kind of stats for a player that isn’t even a centre forward
