So we just settle for we play crap football, no point buying players that improve us.

The negativity on this forum is beyond belief, I currently hate our fanbase, things can change, we can get better FFS.

In that Vid he shows skill, pace, vision and some quality finishes.

We will get better when we start making better decisions. A front 6 of Walcott, Sigurdsson, Bolasie and Tosun with Scheniderlin and Klaassen in midfield is £160m of signings all made in last 18 months.

In that time we've spend £10m to sack Martinez, £18m on hiring, paying and firing Koeman and £2m + wages for Allardyce. So another £30m on managers.

I support Everton, I want Everton to do well. We aren't making the right decisions and it will cost us.

Soz lid I missed anywhere in my post about signing word class players.... or anything to do with money?

Excellent retort, carry on.

Its implied based on the criticism of the players we have signed that are apparently all failures and all based on his failings.

And thanks. You carry on too.

Well for sure he could identify the glaring holes that 40,000 match going Evertonians and every other fan around the world can see and sign players for said positions.

There is so much wrong with Walsh and what he does at the club, admittedly the club's remit for him might be different, but as a DoF he massively fails on what he should be doing... the point above is culpable to that - everyone knows our weaknesses, he should be fixing the holes instead of doing what he is.

He hasn't succeeded at one element of his job, going by the traditional roles and responsibilities of a director of football, so far in my eyes - he should have been held accountable as much as Koeman...

Add to the fact he's done a job for the boys with Allardyce - just makes me hate him even more.

If you never read all that, he's a beaut... a bad bad one.

Ok lets reassess....

Point 1) he (as director of football which is his remit) hasn't identified the multiple holes in the squad which every football watching fan can see. (nothing about financial or level of players).

point 2) He is failing what a traditional director of football should be doing ie, shaping the way the squad is, building for a future so the over reliance on a specific manager isnt so severe - failing, easy to acknowledge considering our manager search followed now similar path (direct football manager, to a passing manager to a pressing manager). so if thats his remit - yes he is failing - if its not his remit the club need to assess job titles.

Point 3) Jobs for the boys, Sam was his man - he pushed for his recruitment. nothing about money level of players or anything there....

So no, nothing about level of players, financial of the players or anything except stating why I think he is failing at his job......

You ask the question I answered, and got a weird reply which had nothing to do with my answer.

Have fun, much love x

Yes but you are already complaining about this decision when we don’ yet know if it’s gonna be good or not. Koeman was the biggest disaster to hit this club in a hundred years but that’s no reason not to buy Walcott a winger who scores goals for fun and is half the price of Siggy

And true to form it didn't take too long for someone to post a vid of him missing a sitter.

He is 29 in 6 weeks time.

I'd be happy with a loan but this is £50m in wages+fee.

How does he fit in with the ambitions of a club aiming for the top?

Short termism kills clubs.
