I think as a fan base we need to consider whether we're deluding ourselves.

Look at Everton objectively, remove the tinted glasses and consider how attractive Big Sam's Everton currently is.

You need to run before you can walk, and we're crawling at the moment.

I just hope Tosun/Walcott are Walsh signings to justify him not being first out the door after Koeman - by justify, I mean the continuation argument.

We shouldn't give Allardyce a penny in my view, because I'm convinced he was brought in as a last resort amid panic to get us through the season without a total relegation collapse.

Agree with this. Allardyce will see us comfortably avoid relegation and hopefully the club is already sounding out replacements for next season.

Comparing Walnut with Kanchelskis makes me think you either never saw Kanchelskis, are a friend of walnuts or are nuts yerself

Iam of an age where i can quite clearly remember Kanchelskis,

Why wouldn't you compare Walcott and Kanchelskis?

Both right wingers, both pacey, both score the odd goal.

For those interested in this stuff... Walcott's PL and CL campaigns last year.

Surprised how lined up his stats are with people's priors on him. Especially on passing attributes and assists, which are really weak, especially for a decent team like Arsenal.

Be interesting to see how this changes Allardyce's attacking set up (if at all!).

But you'd know by watching Walcott that he's the guy getting put in behind, not the guy putting others through. His shooting and goal threat stats are very good there, his creativity is not. But then anyone who thinks we signed Walcott as a playmaker obviously hasn't watched him before. He's there to stretch the defence and run beyond the forward.

Remember the days when people use to doubt a transfer on here and people would say...

“lad I will trust Steve Walsh mega scout and Ronald Koeman the worldie over some mef on the Everton fourm”

Those days where boss wernt they.

Wrong. Wooney has scored winners for us this season, I still can't wait for the fat aul boy to leave.

We have mediocrity everywhere. And Walcott just adds to the already huge list of bang average has beens we seem so obsessed with collecting at this once glorious football club.

If you can name me any international superstars who are willing to come and play for us , then go right ahead.

Otherwise, get your head out of the sand, take off your blue coloured glasses and have a long hard look at yourself.

If you seriously think that this club can attract the type of player you want at this moment in time, then you are clearly delusional

I never thought I’d see the day where Everton are soo desperate to signing a 29 yr old past it Arsenal left over lol. I think I’m done watching for the season until big Sam and Walsh are gone in the summer. The worst season I have ever witnessed as a evertonian. We need big changes this summer dump half the squad Rooney included
And you don't believe that Everton allowing Sam to spend over 50m on two players is a sign that he will be here next season ?
