Not only that but he's a 28 year old player whose main attribute is pace. What do we think that says about the longevity of his career? He's probably already past his peak.

Tell him he’s starting the next 4-5 games let him get some momentum/experience/game time instead of stupid little 15-20 min cameos every few games. I don’t see how anyone can improve like that

This. I don’t agree with some posters that Walcott is finished but he’s definitely peaked and won’t get any better. If we were still in Europe (although he’d be cup tied) or still in the FA Cup a move for him would make much more sense. As it is there doesn’t seem to be much point in making this signing for our long term but he is currently better than most of our other options so I can understand why people are in favour of this. However m Lookman could get plenty of game time from now till the summer and it wouldn’t exactly harm our season. It’s a total write off anyway.

It's not just the fact he could add pace and goals from wide, he could also play down the middle if we revert to 3-5-2.

I think it's a no brainer personally, that's if he is actually available.

It is good if you read 19 in 37 games but not when he’s had 35-40 chances in 37 games! It would be interesting to see his chances to goals ratio. Look at us lately we just about conjure up 1 chance per game.

fwiw, if he had 35-40 chances and scored 19 goals, he'd be one of the most clinical finishers in the world.

The amount of times i have read he only has pace and no end product and at 28 he must be worn out and has definately lost pace
