I don't want to put a downer on things before the lads even kicked a ball for us, but anybody looking at this signing cos of his goal ratio at arsenal needs to seriously think again or they are gonna be very disappointed. We don't play like arsenal, we don't create chances like arsenal + we now have big Sam at the helm! It's prob more realistic looking at his goal return for England. I certainly ain't jumping with joy on this signing but will give the lad a chance as any new signing, but don't hurt yourselves even more by believing that goal ratio will follow him here!
Depends I guess. I could quite easily see it improving because I’m not convinced Arsenal’s style suited him. Arsenal play all around the box looking for intricate stuff whereas with us he should have lots of space on the counter.. we will see but I’m glad that we have someone who the opposition will have to worry about and create more space for Rooney and Sigurdsson to play in.

Any Everton fans seriously thinking £20m for Walcott is big money should realise they're not supporting Southport FC and actually following a team trying to compete with these "big boys"

Leicester City (spent £22m on 28 year old Silva)
Crystal Palace (spent £28m on 27 year old Sakho)
Brighton & Hove Albion (spent £14m on Jose Izquierdo whoever that is)
Burnley (spent £15m on the mighty Chris Wood)
Watford (spent £18m on the even mightier Andre Gray)

£20m on a 28 year old Walcott is shrewd business and anyone saying otherwise is a clear troll or idiot.

Ev baffle me

Walcott has supposedly been training this morning. He's supposedly signed.

We do a presser...

And it's to announce a signing that has already played for us :)

Genuinely won't be shocked if they've been told to talk to Tosun, do breakaways and embargos and then wait for Walcott ala the Lukaku press conference the other year.

Club is the absolute worst in the world when it comes to media arrangements and announcements.

Oh know its there grammer nazi.

Maybe just maybe the DOF found these players and asked to sign for us on good money knowing that we could afford the fee their clubs would want
Maybe the players involved said something along the lines of
KOFF Everton , I want CL football

Possible mate but Baines was,nt playing CL football when we got him so down to the DoF and his scouting network to dig deeper and look below the CL bar.
