If we had a blank cheque both would be gone Jack but we haven't and as much as we need an upgrade in goal we're in more urgent need to buy a playmaker, defender and backup forward.

If there was cash left after filling those positions it would only likely be enough for a bench sitter and not a starter, that's why it would likely be Robles replacement and not Howard's in my opinion pal.
 

Why is Robles suddenly crap again because of one pre season game where our whole defence was terrible? It wasn't long ago everyone was fuming that Howard came back in for him.

Agree with the top paragraph Doug urgent needs in Other parts of the team - do you plan on keeping Super Tim till he is 39 yrs old on a lucrative contract ? Robles needs game time like last season , but this time if he performs well Leave him in!
TH will never except playing 2nd choice it's the only way to send him to the MLS maybe he will be better this season - I have my doubts!
Maybe his rest in the USA will have done him good getting homesick , and all that maybe just one more season of better keeping from him?
Let's wait and see, if he can command his box, and keep better position, and we don't concede any corners or any dangerous free Kicks!

Once he got a little run in the team and got a bit more confidence whilst Howard was out injured he was decent at the least. He certainly wasn't crap.

He's no brilliant keeper obviously. But since his run in the side he's had no stick. One poor game in pre season and he's pyar poo again.
