No mate.
just an observation
Id take eitherIf be was dropped, surely he'd be on the bench instead of the child Griffiths? If he's not in the squad it means he's either injured, or leaving. I'd go with the first
I agree, but he shouldn't be playing, therefore non of what comes with him playing could of happened. The animosity towards him is his own fault mate.
Despite being utter guff the fella has come out in interviews and said theres nothing wrong with his performances and that the fans know absolutely nothing.
His arrogance and ego is disguting for someone who is amongst the worst in his position right now and thats why i and many many others have animosity towards him. Yes Martinez plays him, but he doesnt tell him to be an arrogant bellend who loves taking jibes at fans.
....I agree that there is no room for sentiment, managers shouldn't shy away from tough decisions but some of the criticism is bordering on nasty. We need a replacement keeper, Robles is deserving of a run but Howard isn't the main reason we are mid table.
I think this is spot on, and let's be honest he wasn't upto the same level of the man he replaced Nigel Martyn.Sadly I certainly would class him in that group.
When he joined he was exactly what we needed. An ok keeper to go with an ok team. Remember, the likes of Yobo etc were in that team.
Football has moved on, we have better players, other teams have better players. Howard was ok when he was needed to be ok. But I've never, not once, had total faith in him.
Always been a very good shot stopper SAF would never have sold him to us if he thought otherwise!Sadly I certainly would class him in that group.

Agree totally and really like Tim . However we can all see his form has dipped and it is time to move on and take the opportunity to wish him well if he is leaving .....absolutely, how forgetful some folk are. Also, apparently there is turmoil in his private life which might well have impacted his form. I'm old and have seen some very average keepers playing for Everton but I certainly wouldn't include Howard in that group.
Not 100% but a very big factor as he unsettles our defence we play deeper because of his reluctance to command his box his ball distribution is awful and slower than Robles when Robles plays we play a much higher line - Oh and we seem to win games instead of drawing them!....I agree that there is no room for sentiment, managers shouldn't shy away from tough decisions but some of the criticism is bordering on nasty. I would have thought so - unless injured - RM stated that no top player will leave our club in January, and he sees Tim as a top player unfortunately! He's going to start today isn't he?
Yes I know Red fans are uncomfortable with their Keeper but they won playing average we draw playing well - Tim is 36 years old and would I swap keepers dead right I would!...it's funny because I watched the Pool in the pub yesterday and one of my mates can't stand Mignolet. According to him, every goal they conceded was his fault. You can convince yourself that an individual is the cause of all your woes.
I wouldn't defend Howard's performances this season but there are many contributing factors to us being mid-table.
