yeah he just tweeted #coyb he's in the team isn't he.

I'm probably looking into it a bit too much... But everytime he tweets when he's playing it's something like "Game day" or "Let's do this!" whereas whenever he tweets when he's not playing, it's just "COYB".

So, here's hoping.

Yes I know Red fans are uncomfortable with their Keeper but they won playing average we draw playing well - Tim is 36 years old and would I swap keepers dead right I would!
Any keeper who can save and command his box thats Tims main problem good shot stopper , and it ends there imo!

.....we drew playing well was more down to game management than any individual player.

He is a good reflex shot stopper, that's something a keeper doesn't need to think about, they just react, it's a learned reflex as such, but once Tim has to make a decision he seems to procrastinate and the play enfolds with him staying on his line or whatever, basically not making a decision when he should be proactive, all his bravado and apparent self-confidence could be just bluff, he's become indecisive and thats the end of you at this level, I'm sure the stick he's getting would have added to his private self-doubts and further muddied his decision making...

howards hardly even a good shot stopper anymore though, unless it's literally a few inches either side of him he wont get it.`

And his positioning isn't good like Martyns was, so it shows his faults even more.

So its the Manager then is that what you are saying / In my day watching the blues the great harry catterick would have dropped two players after that game today - Jags , and Tim as that first goal was the turning point imo of Chelsea getting a foothold in that game-
Gordon West England international keeper often got dropped as did Labone our Captain for George Heslop - beggars the question is RM too nice?

true but i wish he didnt tweet at all, then i'd feel more safe.

He's not helped himself with his reaction to the criticism though, nor his dismissal of the views of the paying public.

Howard is the prime factor, he's not the only factor, but he's the largest part of the issue. With a keeper like Cech in between the posts this season we'd have been knocking on the door of the top 4, no doubt about it imo.

....I've no doubt we would have more points with a better keeper but I don't think Howard deserves the level of vitriol he's getting. More importantly it deflects from more important issues. He is being identified as the cause for Costa's goal last week but the real problem was our RB was next to their corner flag when Fabrigas launched the pass. Regardless of who is between the sticks we have to protect leads better and not leave the CBs exposed.

Howard's positioning has always been his weakness, especially in one on ones.

But he has been a good player for us, but it's time for a change

Nah mate, the Costa goal last week was a prime example of his hesitancy and poor decision making.

The situation needed to be dealt with and he didn't, simple as. Citing that our RB was caught up field from a 50 yard punt over the top is merely deflecting from that simple reality.

Maybe not, as at 36 you have to wonder who gave him a three year deal, and the divine right to play every prem game??????
