2024/25 Tim Iroegbunam

Every single midfielder we have had for about 15 years has been ran ragged away at Spurs. You are drawing way too many conclusions from one bad game in one of our hardest games of the season. This lad has ability on the ball which I haven’t seen since Arteta in our CM. People get overexcited when we have players that can actually play football rather than crabs.

Don’t think the hype is helpful for a kid who’s had less than ten premier league games and a season at championship level.

Looks a confident lad and very proficient technically. He is going to get found out taking too many risks at this level though and he is naive positionally. I’m not slating him I’m just being realistic!

The way our fan base clings onto the first midfielder who turns on the ball and builds the hype train every time is horrendous. We saw it happen with Gomes as well. Give him time, this overreaction doesn’t help when he inevitably has a tricky patch and everyone’s expecting prime Seedorf.

Think we seen this against brighton he started to fade out of the game. For me it is more of a shock that it looks like we have a kid with raw talent who does need time. But has alot of potential to grow this season, that is why the signing of Oriel Mangala could help with gana garner being able to rotate. I see him prob at a similar level to chermitii before his injury

The kid undoubtedly has talent - he suffered from not being able to break into a pretty settled midfield at Villa and occasional sub appearances and starts in minor cup competitions don't allow you to get a rhythm to your game. He was well liked by Villa fans but it was almost inevitable he'd have to move on for minutes - we're just glad he's gone to a proper club who'll hopefully look after him and let him develop, mistakes and all. He's a gem if he's played right - look after him.....

Name me an Everton player that doesn't make mistakes. Mistakes included he is still our outstand player at the moment.

This… the other players make mistakes while trying to “build play” back toward Pickford . At least this guy wants to get forward and try to attack . It’s a low bar I know but that’s the reality … but at 10m he is definitely a good piece of business

He’s just turned 21 , I don’t think anyone is naive enough to say that he’s the finished article. The positivity comes from the fact that he looks like he has all the attributes to develop into consistent, quality PL central midfielder.

At this age he’s going to make his mistakes, at 21 he’s still learning the game especially at the top level. If the fans can forgive the odd mistake along the way and back him regardless because the know his underlying quality, then he’s undoubtedly going to improve further. Having trust in a player is sometimes an investment. He’s a player who could be central to changing the club’s fortunes in the coming years.
