Times article, Burnley/Leeds threaten to sue Everton

The premier league have okayed the accounts, and accepted they are under the limit.

Leeds/Burnley may be able to sue the PL, but that would be the litigation, not Everton.

Also worth saying, for all other breaches 1 of 2 things have happened:
1) No points deduction
2) Overturned in an impartial court.

Feels like spilt milk, and I cant see either taking it forward. Maybe they would want some sweetener settlement from the PL if they go down.

Has a team ever been deducted points from their total after a season has finished? I can’t remember any cases. If the worst happened (which I really don’t see happening), surely it would have to apply to next season anyway?

The suggestion is that it’s not just those two that are gunning for you and whilst the only other club mentioned was Arsenal in April it was reported that far from the matter having been resolved legal action was being talked about even then.

I guess Burnley are worried about repaying that loan they have. If they go bust, their fans will have to find something else to do like go back to working in the mills or fingering their sister.
If Burnley go down, we will just end up paying off their loan repayment which is what they are going to be screwed by. Same way west ham paid Sheffield 20m if they do manage to prove we have done wrong.
